January 3, 2017
The infamous terror group named Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has released a 19-minute video which portrays several world leaders and cites them to be working against the interest of Muslims.
The video titled Cross Sheild, which claims to have done the attack in Turkey, showed several world leaders such as Barack Obama, Turkish President Recep Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pope Francis and many others.
A gunman on Sunday, dressed as Santa Claus had opened fire in a nightclub in Istanbul, Turkey which has killed 39 people. Later the ISIS took the responsibility. The video was posted online just days before the attack took place.
In the video, ISIS criticised Erdogan for Turkey’s involvement in Syria which has witnessed widespread destruction as rebels and President Bashar al-Assad’s forces clashed with each other to gain control.
Hindustan Times released a report that showed the photo of PM Modi and Erdogan, which features in the video. The photo seems to be taken during their meeting on the margins of the G20 Summit in Turkey in November 2015. The video ends with the footage of two Turkish soldiers being burnt alive by the ISIS terrorists. Over a year ago, a similar video was released by ISIS calling Erdogan a traitor.
Currently, the Islamic State terror group has controls in some of the territories in Iraq and Syria and has spread its tentacles in other parts of the world as well. The terror group has been using social media to spread the ‘jihadi’ propaganda and lured several Muslim youths throughout the world. Several youths from India are also reported to have left their homes to join the dreaded group. The group claims itself working for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate.
